Stefan Bajcetic opened his Premier League account for Liverpool against Aston Villa on Monday, but what else is there to know about the Spanish youth international?

Bajcetic might not sound like a typical name for a Spain under-18 player, but he was born in Vigo to a Galician mother in 2004 after his Serbian father Srdan had turned out for Celta Vigo in the late 1990s.

Stefan Bajcetic Maquieira – to give him his full name – made swift progress through Celta’s youth academy and was picked up by Liverpool in December 2020 just two months past his 16th birthday.
