Stoke City Academy Scholarship, In the EFL Championship, Stoke City Football Club represents Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England as a professional football team. When Stoke-on-Trent was given city status in 1925, the organization that had been founded in 1863 as Stoke Ramblers underwent two name changes. Stoke in 1878 and Stoke City in 1925. The Stoke City FC Academy at WISS is a top tier football academy that provides pupils with elite instruction from qualified Stoke City Football Club coaches. Three coaches from Stoke City FC spend the entire year at WISS working with chosen children who have been accepted into the Academy. It is also a fantastic chance for students to learn from instructors who have advanced degrees. Most these instructors who themselves have played professionally. Also, students get the opportunity to visit the UK and practice at the young academy of Stoke City FC.

However, with this first of its kind program, Stoke City F.C., the oldest club in the Premier League, will provide year round premier league coaching to children from international schools.

Academy Development center

The most skilled and potential young players, ages 6 to 14, are trained in the Stoke City Academy Development Centers.The second tier of our youth development pathway is comprised of development centers. Also, These centers are the key entry point for players into our age groups and feed into our Academy program. Boys cannot enroll into the full Academy program until they are eight years old, but they also recognize that young players can start to show promise much earlier. For this reason, they established a concept of Regional Development Centers for children ages six, seven, and eight.

Additionally, Sessions take place at a single central location in Stoke-on-Trent, and each age group has its own Development Squad. This is also in keeping with the philosophy of our Academy program. Academy Development Centers only accept applicants by invitation. Players are typically invited to a center after being observed and evaluated by one of our scouts or following recommendations from our coaching staff at Stoke City FC. Who provide coaching sessions all around the Stoke-on-Trent region. We also have a close contact with local grassroots clubs.

Players that attend the center can still participate in weekend games for their neighborhood team. Every center is operated without charge.

Application for club’s Academy/ Scholarship

Since its inception in 2005, the Club has hosted more than 1,000 seven year olds at the bet365 Stadium. As the Potters reached out to 8,000 Year 2 students per season, the program increased in 2017 and became one of the biggest young supporter programs in English sport. Due to their outstanding efforts to involve families on matchdays, Stoke City was one of only 12 EFL teams to receive a Family Excellence “Gold Award” as a result of the project.

Only students who attend participating schools are eligible to use City 7s memberships; they cannot be acquired in any other way. To find out if your child’s school is participating or to learn more about City 7s, you have to send a mail to the club’s email (supporters@stokecityfc.com).

Beginning in September, the club’s representatives will visit students in primary and junior schools throughout the area to offer 16,000 free memberships to Year 2 and Year 3 students. These memberships for the Academy will give them the chance to watch a live EFL Championship game at the bet365 Stadium with their friends and family.
