Chelsea have completed the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Andrey Santos, with official confirmation due to arrive very soon.
According to a number of sources, Chelsea will pay €12.5 million plus add-ons for the Vasco da Gama defensive midfielder.
Santos will become Chelsea’s second signing already of the January transfer window, following the purchase of Ivory Coast striker David Datro Fofana from Molde.

Chelsea beat Barcelona and Newcastle
Chelsea beat Barcelona and Newcastle to the signing of Andrey Santos.
Santos, 18, has been attracting the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs after scoring eight goals in 33 games for Vasco da Gama, from defensive midfield, in 2022.
It was reported that Barca saw Santos as their long-term successor to Sergio Busquets, will leave for Inter Miami in 2023.
Newcastle, meanwhile, wanted him as part of an all-Brazilian midfield alongside Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton.
There had been reports earlier this week that Santos had failed to obtain a UK visa, but it seems the problem has been sorted.
Chelsea fans, here’s what I dug up about Andrey Santos from Brazilians who watch him week in and week out.
Remember Andrey is only 18 but started 33 games for Vasco this year, playing a key role in getting the Rio giant promotion back to Série A.
