Lionel Messi would not turn down a move to Manchester City this summer if he was to receive an offer.
That is the opinion of former Man City and England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who would love to see Messi play in the Premier League before the end of his career.
Messi’s contract at PSG expires at the end of the current season, with the Parisians currently in negotiations to renew his deal.

Barcelona want to bring the 35-year-old back to Camp Nou, while Inter Miami also want to take him to the United States.
As it stands, it is widely believed that a new contract with PSG is the most likely outcome but Eriksson believes that the attacker wouldn’t turn down teaming up with his former Barca boss Pep Guardiola at City.
What did Eriksson say about Messi
“I wished Argentina to win the World Cup only because of Lionel Messi, he deserved it,” Eriksson told OLBG.
“I don’t know what will happen to Messi, but if he continues to play the way he did in the World Cup he is still one of the best.
“Pep Guardiola knows Lionel Messi very well so I can’t imagine he would say no to that transfer.
“It would be great for him to play in the Premier League, especially with Erling Haaland in front of him, but I can’t see it happening.”
Messi completed a shock Free Transfer to PSG in the summer of 2021 after he was unable to sign a new contract with Barcelona.
The Argentine legend broke virtually every record during over 20 years at Camp Nou, scoring an incredible 672 goals in 778 games.
His peak was arguably during Guardiola’s spell as coach of Barca between 2008 and 2012 when they won three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues together.
