Leicester City Football Academy scholarship, The East Midlands city of Leicester is home to the English professional football team Leicester City Football Club. The team plays its home games at King Power Stadium and competes in the Premier League, the top tier of the English football league system.
As Leicester Fosse F.C, the team began play on a pitch close to Fosse Road in 1884. In 1891 they relocated to Filbert Street, in 1894 they were elected to the Football League, and in 1919 they took the name Leicester City. In 2002, they relocated to the neighboring Walkers Stadium, which was later given the moniker King Power Stadium. Leicester won the 2015/2016 Premier League, joining a select group of seven teams that have done so since the league’s start in 1992.
Leicester City Football Academy
The Leicester City Football Club Academy is dedicated to developing young men of integrity. Who are capable of playing professional football at the Premier League and Football League level. They seek out outstanding young players and offering great coaching along with a suitable educational package.
They are entirely devoted to giving all of their players, ages eight to 21, a top notch experience through our player centered approach and the application of our “Committed to Excellence” technical curriculum, in order to give them the best chance of eventually reaching the First Team at Leicester City. With the Board of Directors’ and Club senior management’s ongoing support, the Academy is ability dedicated.
All participants between the ages of nine and eleven must live within an hour’s drive of the Academy. Potential players between the ages of 12 and 16 must reside within an hour and a half of the club. Both the players and their parents are expected to follow the Academy’s rules and guidelines while they are affiliated with the Club. The player and their parents will be informed at the conclusion of the designated trial period whether or not they were successful.
If unsuccessful, our coaches will offer the athlete a thorough evaluation and suggest areas that should be improved to support future development. Depending on their age category, players between the ages of nine and sixteen may sign with the Academy for one, two, or four years. The player will be told at the conclusion of the time period whether the Club want to keep them or release them.
In order to ensure that all requirements are completed during the whole registration and recruitment process, the Academy will operate in accordance with the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) regulations as laid out by the Government and the FA. Requirements for the Academy trial

- You absolutely must go to summer camps.
- Always behave honorably, especially when speaking to teammates.
- When you train alone or participate in intercollegiate soccer competitions, record your performances on film.
- Show a keen interest in learning, which motivates coaches and scouts.
- Never miss out on the neighborhood open soccer matches.
- Describe the player’s statistics, including their age, position on the field, prior teams, school records, etc.

Leicester City Women Academy scholarship
The first ever academy program for Leicester City FC’s Women’s Super League team has been launched. All thanks to a partnership between Loughborough College and the club. Players 16 years of age and older are being sought by the LCFC Women WSL Academy. They will be assisted in balancing professional training with academic education over a five years period. The inaugural intake of the LCFC Ladies WSL Academy began their program in September 2021, with certain positions distributed through open trials.
As a partner with the men’s teams at Birmingham City, Derby County, Oldham Athletic, Nottingham Forest, and Leicester City, Loughborough College now supports six professional football academies. The educational support will take the form of a program that LCFC Women and Loughborough College have carefully designed. In their first two years, players will have the option of finishing a BTEC or A-Level program. After that, they will be able to enroll in a three-year degree program at the college that is approved by Loughborough University.
Furthermore, the awarded Athlete Scholarship Program, will be wholly financed by Sport England. This runs in collaboration with De Montfort University and will also promote the players’ overall development. The program offers personalized physical preparation programs, improved medical assistance. Also performance services support in psychology, physiotherapy, nutrition, and lifestyle provision.
